Jodie Whittaker, The 13th Doctor Mug
Doctor Who was first aired in 1963 but it took until 2017 for the makers to announce the first female doctor, Jodie Whittaker.
Jodie's casting as the 13th Doctor was met with celebration by many Whovians and protest by a few; tough shit though naysayers, she took on the role and has been smashing it since.
"It feels completely overwhelming, as a feminist, as a woman, as an actor, as a human, as someone who wants to continually push themselves and challenge themselves, and not be boxed in by what you're told you can and can't be."
As always, Revolting Girls can't resist the opportunity for a cracking pun so we were hardly gonna give the Dr Who/Dr Dre one a swerve, were we?!
What's so good about Revolting Girls mugs?
Revolting Girls mugs are dishwasher safe; the design on them is definitely durable...there'll be nothing peeling off these bad boys. (Not like the one I bought off the high street for my eldest's Christmas stocking last year..Harry Potter's scar was worse than ever before by January)
Our mugs are also microwave safe so you can warm up that half a tin of beans from the fridge. Don't under any circumstances use it to reheat your tea though; not because it'll harm the mug but because that's just plain wrong. Never reheat tea.
The mugs are 10oz in size; if you're like me, that measurement means nothing to you so I'd better add that they're the usual, normal mug size. The mugs are big enough for a satisfying brew and a few dunkers but not so huge that you feel like you're drinking from a bucket.
To cut a long story short:
Jodie Whittaker is currently killing it as the Thirteenth Doctor and has become a text book example of a woman smashing stereotypes, both in the real world and the Whovian universe.
There's a brand new episode coming on New Year's Day 2020, so wouldn't this make a corker of a Christmas gift?!
